Crunch time...

With less than 3 weeks left before we start setting up the Tech Room, we are all working hard on final preparations -- making lists, editing Wikis (Hi, my name is Jennifer and I'm a Wiki addict!), finalizing our handouts, getting together several times a week via IM to chat and brainstorm and ask each other over and over again: What are we forgetting?

This is fun!

Hi,

I'm been trying to reach someone to see if I can be a link on either the tech room blog or on one of the individual Leader Conference blogs but I haven't heard anything back. Who can I talk to? My name is Jacqueline and I am a Leader serving in Elk Grove California. My blog is a research blog and can be found at doingitdifferently.blogspot.com

I'm interviewing mothers for Northern Cal's October conference to find out how to best help second time moms interested in breastfeeding for the first time, or trying to make breastfeeding work for them the second time around.

Since I can't be at the conference, I thought this would be a great way to hear from moms from all over. Please let me know who I can talk to about this

Thanks,
Jacqueline

Hi Jacqueline,

I apologize for not emailing you, but your email address is on my home computer and I am on vacation with my laptop. The reason you have not heard from anyone is that I was trying to figure out what to do with your request--it is very tricky for us to promote any research involving our Leaders or members on our web pages, as it needs to be approved by our researc review team, and I can't remember if yours is or not. And on top of that, I could not figure out where to link it, as it doesn't fit in with our conference topics. What I CAN do is focus on it as a topic in our little display of online activities by LLL people, in the technology room when the conference is running. Ah, that must have been my plan. Would you please send me the link again (to sak@mallorn.com) and I will print a page of your blog and let people look at it at the conference on one of our computers.

Sue Ann, who has been extremely busy and is sorry she dropped the ball on this one

Hi,

Thank you for responding. I can see now from what you have mentioned that there could be potential problems in terms of promotion, especially since I haven't taken this on as a Leader, but rather as a mom and writer. Right now my main goal is to be able to construct an effective conference session for our conference because I think it is a worthwhile topic. Thank you again for your response and I will email you again so that you can have a look and see if anything would work.

Sincerely,
Jackie
